What a great pub! Fantastic food for Tuesday's 'Pie Night's, lovely atmosphere with an open fire and really lovely owners. A jewel just outside Laugharne centre!

Brilliant pub we visited whilst staying in Laugharne. Good value food and drink, with noteable food quality and a feeling of being a local. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back.

We visited on 2nd October for my husband’s birthday. Great pub, very friendly and warm welcome from everyone. The new owners had only been operating for about a month and they were working hard to make positive improvements to the menu. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and will certainly be back next time we visit the area.

Delicious Sunday lunch today. Great variety of veg, plenty of beef and the service was excellent. Can't comment on the deserts as we only had the main course.

Pete and Bex...what can i say other than the most amazing and caring people I have ever met. Although I wasnt staying here the whole team made me feel so welcome I didnt want to come home! The food is out of this world, no way are you going hungry! Warm and friendly environment to relax and nothing is ever too much trouble. The whole team are amazing. I was in town for three days and ate here every night! Cant wait to bring the whole family back next time and this time we will 100% book a room

Didn't stay, just popped by for food and drink with kids. Food was great, really fresh. Only criticism was the kids meal was expensive at 8.50. Other than that, it was spot on. Food portion was plenty, especially for the kids so I guess the price was justified to a certain extent..

What can I say excellent service and delicious food. The staff were polite and friendly. They were not bothered that we had asked if it was ok that our dog came to sit with us outside, and were happy to fulfill his request of 2 sausages for his food. The inside was clean and welcoming. Many thanks

Booked last minute wanted to stay at place away from the commercial places, and boy did we strike gold we had a family room with ensuite everywhere was immaculately clean. then went down to eat.. I had steak which was perfectly cooked and my wife had Fish and chips with mushy peas.. perfect Can not fault this place A landlady who this place is the Queen of her castle 🏰 xx

I've given 3 stars as the staff were so friendly. The menu on their website isn't the same as what's on the large blackboard they bring to your table. We booked a table as we both fancied a nice pub curry. I ended up having chicken provencal as my first 2 choices (curry and chilli) were unavailable. It was basically a few chunks of chicken in a sauce that tasted heavily of tomato puree and not much else, accompanied by rice which was clumped together and soggy. The staff were nice and kept apologising for the long wait saying they were extremely busy (although the place looked quiet. It was so late by the time we got our food that I ate what I could but it honestly wasn't very nice and I'd never recommend it or go again. I'd prefer to be told that the menu was limited and that we'd have a long wait...then at least you have the chance to try somewhere else.

Had a Sunday lunch here with family, meal was delicious had starter main and desert. Only criticism was the roast potato not fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside more solid but everything g else was great and reasonably priced

Just been in for sunday lunch, very disapointing! Hardly any meat, no gravy so asked for some, food was cold, tiny frozen yorkshire pudding, stuffing ball like a bullet! Very disapointing!!!

Walked in for a meal, wasn't told we needed a booking until after we bought drinks, so money wasted. Bar woman was friendly and polite however another member of staff was not the same. Not good.

We had gone to Llaugharne Castle and we were really disappointed in the choice of food near the castle given the fact that there are 2 pubs, a cafe and a small burger van type thing. We have 2 fussy children as well. We drove up the road and found the carpenters Arms. The pub was quiet, the owner Lottie was really kind and welcoming. The food was well priced and tasty. Drinks were good. Resident dog was a sweetie. She even brought out a dessert for the birthday girl, unprompted and had a candle. Very lovely and would come again. A proper British pub.

Great service and the food was very nice. Lovely atmosphere of an old inn. The real fire is very welcome touch. Games room downstairs is well equipped, which doesn't matter as long as the different generations have their own space.

We visited on a bank holiday Monday unfortunately the place was empty. One of our party was vegetarian and suffice to say there were limited options available one of the choices were vegetarian meatballs which one served came as a lonely platter of vegetarian balls sans sauce. The chef confessed that she was unfamiliar with vegetarian cooking. One of our party was a child, their pizza was burned. I had the burger, it wasn’t what was decribed and small in size.!Overall 4/10

Had 2 superb meals Easter Bank Holiday week plus a lovely presented afternoon tea landlady and her team were very friendly and inviting the locals were very welcoming excellent place to eat will definitely be calling again if in the area

Had a lovely meal.. lotty and her bar staff were so lovely and welcoming Food was amazing good value and was such a great atmosphere. Haven't stayed here but apparently have accommodation available and all with en suites. Location is great for exploring. Will definitely return when next in area x

This pub has recently had a change of owner/landlord. We went for Sunday lunch not long after the change and we were very disappointed. Food was cold and tasteless. charged full price for a 6 year old Sunday lunch. Watched numerous other customers walk out due to the wait time for their food. The waitress (black hair) was extremely rude and unhelpful. As locals we were hoping it would be our go to place for Sunday dinner. Definitely not, we will never go back.

The Carpenters arms was cosy and warm. Me and my partner was greeted by the owner who was smiley and very inviting. Food was great and service was fast. Great quality of food. Atmosphere was peaceful. Perfect pub/restaurant to feel at home at. Definitely would revisit and recommend.
